This is probably the most important link on this page if you are just beginning your journey with the Native American style flute. A local friend of mine, John MacEnulty, has a video that explains the basics of how to play the Native American style flute. This video is short and to-the-point, so it is a great place to start if you need a bit of help with your playing. John discusses the basic rules for playing; these rules can be bent and/or broken later, but beginners should stick with what’s in this video: Click HERE to be taken to John’s YouTube video. There are also several other videos on the same page to help you after you have mastered the basics.

This link will take you to an excellent flute maker who is a dear friend of mine. I highly recommend buying a flute from Jerry. His wife, Lisa, and their two sons, Jesse and Michael, also make beautiful carrying bags, cane flutes, and tiny 3-hole flutes. Check them out!
